Whenever I receive an email, I look for any signs of phishing attempts – I ignore any unusual requests for sensitive information. I also think it is a good idea not to click on links or download attachments from unknown sources. Basically if I don’t recognize the sender or if the email seems off, I try to be more careful. Also if any mail ends up in spam folder, I ignore it.
